Redlands, CA — Assemblyman James Ramos, District 40, has thrown his support behind the California Democratic Party’s endorsed candidate, Kris Goodfellow in the open race for the 23rd State Senate District
Ramos cited Goodfellow's commitment to expanding access to quality education, support for public safety and her private sector experience as a technology entrepreneur as reasons she’s the right choice for the 23rd District.
Ramos released the following statement on Goodfellow's endorsement:
"Kris' commitment to reduce homelessness, prioritize our public safety and support small business in the Inland Empire are key reasons why I'm proud to endorse her campaign for State Senate.”
"As a leader in San Bernardino County, James Ramos has been an advocate for students, veterans, seniors and the important role that our public safety officials play in keeping the Inland Empire safe. I am humbled to have his endorsement and look forward to working on our shared priorities together in Sacramento.”
Ramos’ endorsement adds to a growing list of endorsements for Goodfellow's campaign. In addition to the state party, Goodfellow is backed by the California Teachers Association, the California Nurses Association, Sen. Connie Leyva, State Controller Betty Yee, SEIU California, the Inland Empire Labor Council, Community Action Fund of Planned Parenthood of San Bernardino and Orange Counties, Redlands Professional Firefighters and local leaders throughout the Inland Empire.
