Redlands, CA — The California Nurses Association (CNA) has announced their endorsement of Kris Goodfellow's campaign for California's 23rd State Senate District. CNA's endorsement follows that of the Community Action Fund of Planned Parenthood of San Bernardino and Orange Counties and pro-choice leaders across the Inland Empire.
Goodfellow has continued to dominate the Democratic field with endorsements from organized labor and Democratic party leaders. Recently, Goodfellow received 87 percent of delegate votes at the California Democratic Party's pre-endorsement conference.
"Everyone has the right to quality and affordable healthcare," said Goodfellow. "Our nurses are on the frontlines with patients working to deliver the best possible care and understanding the struggles patients face fighting for coverage. As State Senator, I'll fight to ensure that we have adequate nurse-to-patient ratios and that we are delivering the best possible healthcare to all of our communities.
Founded in 1903, the California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee/AFL-CIO is a premiere organization of registered nurses and one of the nation’s fastest growing labor and professional organizations in the U.S. with more than 100,000 members in hospitals, clinics and home health agencies in all 50 states. In the past 15 years, CNA/NNOC has grown by nearly 400 percent.
Goodfellow has also been endorsed by the following labor unions:
- California Teachers Association (CTA)
