The good news keeps on coming.
Rep. Pete Aguilar, Congressional District 31, has officially endorsed Kris Goodfellow in the open race for the 23rd State Senate District.
Aguilar cites Goodfellow's understanding of the issues facing the region among the reasons she’s the right choice for the 23rd District.
“Kris' experience as a journalist and small-business owner have prepared her to deliver results for the Inland Empire. I am endorsing Kris for State Senate because she will fight to expand access to affordable healthcare, improve public education, protect immigrant families and grow the Inland Empire's middle class,” he said in an emailed statement.
Goodfellow commented on the endorsement:
“Rep. Aguilar has been a courageous advocate for the needs of our region, and a model for working across the aisle to make real change. I am honored by his support.”
Aguilar’s endorsement came days after Assemblyman James Ramos declared his support for Goodfellow, who is also endorsed by the California Democratic Party, the California Teachers Association, the California Nurses Association, Sen. Connie Leyva, State Controller Betty Yee, SEIU California, the Inland Empire Labor Council, Community Action Fund of Planned Parenthood of San Bernardino and Orange Counties, Redlands Professional Firefighters and local leaders throughout the Inland Empire.
