In a speech entitled “Citizenship in the Republic, then President Theodore Roosevelt famously said:
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena,”
My dear college roommmate, Kris Goodfellow (so aptly named), has thrown herself into that arena and I would love to invite you to come talk to her about it and appreciate any support you can give her ahead of the all-important June fundraising deadline, which is the ticket to all party and institutional support.
I understand California may feel a long way away from DC, but we need more candidates like Kris in office. She would be the first woman and the first Democrat to occupy her seat. Her background as a New York Times investigative journalist, tech entrepreneur and small business owner would bring fresh perspective to the office.
