Redlands, CA – Political outsider and small-business owner Kris Goodfellow outraised competitors in the race for California State Senate District 23. According to campaign finance filings released yesterday, Goodfellow raised more than $100,000 in the first financial reporting period of the year and asserted herself as the front-runner in the open race for the 23rd District. These strong fundraising numbers follow Goodfellow's recent endorsements from Senator Connie Leyva, SEIU California and State Controller Betty Yee.

As a journalist for the The New York Times, Associated Press and Chicago Tribune, Kris worked on the frontlines covering breaking news like the Oklahoma City bombing and rooting out corruption in business and government. After a career in journalism, Kris transitioned into the technology field. Today, she and her husband own and operate Voyager Search a Redlands-based search software company. Voyager Search is the global leader in geospatial search technology and has brought innovation and technology jobs to the Inland Empire.
